M+R Logistics (India) Pvt. Ltd. and WIZ Freight join forces

WIZ Freight and M+R India, two market leaders and pioneers in the field of logistics in India, will amalgamate their activities. Radar Group, the parent company of WIZ Freight, will take over all shares of M+R Logistics (India) Pvt. Ltd.

“Being the seed investor behind WIZ Freight founders Ramkumar Govindarajan and Ramkumar Ramachandran, I have always believed in their vision. In the Indian economy, that is driven by digital innovation, the idea of offering logistics solutions via online platforms was bound to be a success,” says Daniel Richner, Owner of Switzerland-based M+R Spedag Group. “WIZ Freight manages the perfect combination of state-of-the-art CIT solutions with the solid know-how to move goods by connecting all stakeholders along the supply chain.”

Jayaram Radhakrishnan, the current CEO of M+R, will head the unified entity and will be supported by Sonia Balagopal as COO and Amit Nilakhe as CSO. The combined entity will look to marry the operational expertise of M+R India and the modern technology capabilities of Wiz to enhance the value proposition for existing customers.

The unified entity will then have a strength of 1000+ people and a presence in all parts of India. It will offer solutions in all modes of transport and continuously enhance the CIT products in an in-house technology development center, all head-quartered in Chennai, India.

Over the coming six months, the operational units of the two companies will be merged step by step. A change of name will be announced when the merge is operationally completed end of the first quarter of 2023.

The merger does not affect the M+R Spedag Group organization in the rest of Asia.
