There is also an attractive alternative to pure ocean- or airfreight. For less cost than airfreight but significantly faster than ocean freight, you can also have your shipments transported in a combination of the two transport modes.

The so-called Sea/Air services are offered on various routes. For example, in transport from Asia there is a classical Sea/Air route to Europe via Dubai. The first section takes goods by ocean freight from the origin points in Asia to the United Arab Emirates in the Middle East. In Dubai the ocean freight containers are unloaded and the individual consignments are then transported by airfreight to their final destinations in Europe.

The combined Sea/Air services are an efficient solution if airfreight is too expensive but ocean freight too slow to meet your deadlines!
