Sugar is one of the world's most important raw materials. This holds true for East Africa as well. Uganda wich a population of 30 million people, has a consumption of 250'000 tons of suger per year. As the population is expected to double by 2030, the sugar consumption by then will reach 500'000 tons. This underlines the importance of the sugar industry in the region.

Spedag is contribution to the successful expansion of sugar production by providing the logistics for supplies to sugar factories in the great lakes region. We take care of delivering all kinds of machinery, building components for the factory and certain ingredients for the production of sugar for the big sugar companies in Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda and Kenya. We arrange transport by sea, air and road from the suppliers of sugar companies all over the world up to the factory door or to designated destinations, together with all services such as full documentation or customs clearance.
